We're here! We're very excited for our week at Windmill Hill - look out for the photos during the week!

Here are a few examples of our work so far... We have combined maths and art this week to create some fantastic tessellating patterns. We also used our knowledge of number bonds to create a curve using straight lines. We are rightly proud of our curve stitching. Look out for them on display at Open evening.
We worked in groups to turn the story of Daedalus and Icarus into a playscript and then we used the scripts to act out the play. We hope that you enjoy our Greek tragedy.
We have had a fabulous day today being car designers! The whole school entered into a vehicle design challenge where we could use our research, designing, drawing, making, problem solving and evaluation skills! Each year group had a different challenge and tackled it head on, showing creativity and resilience! EYFS made push along vehicles, Year 1 made vehicles that used ramp power. Year 2 created amphibious vehicles that had to move and be waterproof. Years 3 & 4 used balloons to power their cars and years 5 & 6 harnessed elastic band energy to directly drive their axles. Well done EFPS! Engineers of the future! |
